CeCe Winans Wins Big At 2017 Dove Awards

Congratulations to CeCe Winanswinner of Gospel Artist of the Year at the Gospel Music Association’s 2017 Dove Awards held recently at in Nashville at Lipscomb University’s Arena. The show aired on Christian Television channel TBN on October 22.

Among other winners on Gospel and Christian Music’s biggest night honoring the faith genres’ brightest stars’ music and ministry was Kirk Franklin for Contemporary Gospel/Urban Recorded Song of the Year – “My World Needs You.” Tamela Mann nabbed a Dove for “Change Me,” the Traditional Gospel Recorded Song of the Year. Urban Worship Recorded Song of the Year was awarded to Vashawn Mitchell for “Joy.” Trip Lee won the Dove Award for Rap/Hip Hip Album of the Year for his album The Waiting Room. Christian music band Mercy Me won Artist of the Year. Song of the Year went to writers Ben Fielding and Brooke Ligertwood for “What A Beautiful Name.” Casting Crowns walked away with the Dove Award for Contemporary Christian Artist of the Year.
