Take 6 Takes St. Louis at Washington University’s Black Alumni Fundraiser

Grammy Award winning a capella group Take 6 performed before a packed house, at the 30th Anniversary Celebration for the Washington University in St. Louis’ Black Alumni Council on Friday, April 11 at the Chase Park Plaza Hotel in St. Louis.

Celebrating their 25th anniversary this year, the famous a capella sextet sang a string of  inspirational hits that made them famous while enticing attendees to support the Black Alumni Association at the black tie-optional fundraiser.

Musically, they gave the audience a taste of Prince and Michael Jackson along with their hits, including  “Oh Mary Don’t You Weep.” The multi-platinum group showed the audience how they earned 10 Grammy Awards, 10 Dove Awards  and  a Soul Train Award.

The night ended with thunderous applause and a standing ovation. The group is currently on tour, with stops scheduled for Glendale, Arizona; Moscow, Los Angeles and Newark.
