Real Husbands of Hollywood Gets Picked Up


If you love watching the comedy labeled the “fakest reality show ever,” then you will be ecstatic to know that BET Network recently announced it is picking up the hilarious show for a second season.  Real Husbands of Hollywood gives viewers a glimpse into the real life of comedian/actor Kevin Hart and his famous Hollywood friends as they navigate their way through the celebrity world with or in spite of their famous wives.

The “husbands” and  cast members are Nick Cannon, husband of music superstar Mariah Carey, Boris Kodjoe , husband of actress Nicole Ari Parker, Duane Martin, husband of actress Tisha Campbell-Martin, J.B. Smoove, husband of the songstress Shahidah Omar and Robin Thicke, who is married to actress Paula Patton.  A star-studded guest line up will be seen in season two as audiences can expect the return of such familiar faces as Nelly in the coming season.

“When we launched this series in January, we knew our audience would have as much fun watching it as we had making it, and since it has been on the air, fans have voiced on social media that they want more. So this was a pretty simple decision: ‘Hey! Let’s make more!’ ” says Stephen Hill , BET’s President of Music Programming and Specials.  “We are beyond thrilled that Kevin Hart and the stellar “Husbands” will be back bickering and back-biting, for another season on BET.”

Real Husbands of Hollywood is executive produced by Kevin Hart (“Think Like A Man,” “Laugh At My Pain”), Stan Lathan (“Martin,” “Moesha”), Ralph Farquhar (“The Parkers,” “Married With Children”), Jesse Collins  (“The BET Awards,” “The 54th Annual Grammy Awards”), Tim Gibbons (“Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers”) Chris Spencer  (“MTV 2012 Video Music Awards,” “Def Comedy Jam”) and Dave Becky (“Everybody Hates Chris”).  The series was created by Kevin Hart and Chris Spencer .
