Chris Tucker hosts the BET Awards tonight live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. There are scheduled appearances by Mariah Carey, Ciara, Stevie Wonder, Nicki Manaj, Justin Timberlake, Snoop Dogg, Gabrielle Union, Angela Bassett, Chris Brown and more. The show airs at 8p.m. ET/PT on BET Networks.
Artists with the most nominations are Drake with 12. Kendrick Lamar and 2 Chainz follow with eight each. A$AP Rocky has fives nods, with Justin Timberlake, Miguel and Jay-Z tied with four.
The night’s honorees are NBA/Miami Heat star athlete Dwayne Wade, recipient of the State Farm Humanitarian Award and R&B Singer/Songwriter Charlie Wilson will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award presented by Cadillac.
I like to watch this awards show because it is entertaining, the clothes are always interesting and the rappers always thank God in between flashing those shiny teeth. I’ll be sure to tune in and you should too.
