Grammy Award winning recording artist and actress Toni Braxton stars in and executive produces Lifetime’s Fallen Angels Murder Club, an original anthology movie series. The first of the made for TV movies, Fallen Angels Murder Club: Friends to Die For premieres on Saturday, April 2 at 8p.m. ET. The second installment, Fallen Angels Murder Club: Heroes and Felons airs Saturday, April 9 at 8p.m. ET.
Based on R. Franklin James’ books, Fallen Angels Book Club, the murder mystery’s All Star Cast includes Toni Braxton as amateur sleuth Hollis Morgan, Eddie Cibrian, Kelly Hu, Lisa Berry, Rainbow Sun Franks, Yanic Truesdal, Henderson Wade, Humberly Gonzalez, Shawn Ahmed, Kaitlyn Leeb, Rob Stewart, Keith D. Robinson, and Rauol Bhaneja.
Fallen Angels Murder Club: Friends to Die For is centered around a murder mystery book club whose members are all ex-cons that have fallen from grace and are working to turn their lives around. Braxton’s character Hollis got caught up in insurance fraud as a result of her ex-husband’s dealings. She did her prison time and is seeking a pardon so that she can become a lawyer. This gets sticky when one of the members of the book club is murdered and Hollis becomes the main suspect. She turns investigator to find the real killer and clear her name.
The following week, Fallen Angels Murder Club: Heroes and Felons finds Hollis at the center of yet another crime investigation. This time a journalist is killed. And the book club bands together to search for answers surrounding the death of one of their own members.
