If you are like me and you love Romantic comedies, and love, love, Christmas movies, you are going to be in heaven watching TV One’s Dear Santa, I Need A Date. The sweet original TV movie premieres tonight at 7pm ET with an encore presentation at 9pm ET on TV One.
The Dear Santa, I Need A Date stars recording artist and actor Ray J (Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood, Moesha), and Reagan Gomez-Preston (The Parent ‘Hood, The Cleveland Show). They play ambitious brother and sister Jason and Janelle Vaughn respectively. The two make a wager on who will bring a date home for Christmas to meet their parents.

The roles of mom and dad, Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn, are wonderfully played by Anne-Marie Johnson and Jay Devon Johnson. The two are eager for their son and daughter to each find someone special and bring them some grandchildren into the world. This Christmas, Jason and Janelle pleasantly surprise and then shock the middle-aged couple. I just love the unexpected twist near the end.

Dear Santa, I Need A Date is directed by Terri J. Vaughn (The Steve Harvey Show, Daddy’s Little Girls). Swirl Films produced it for TV One.
