Actress and producer Garcelle Beauvais stars in and executive produces Black Girl Missing, premiering Saturday, March 4 at 8/7c on Lifetime TV.

Black Girl Missing is inspired by true stories of black girls who have gone missing with little attention given by media coverage given to their silenced voices in comparison to missing white girls. Garcelle Beauvais plays Cheryl, a mother in search of her daughter Lauren (Iyana Halley) who has gone missing after the two have an argument. When Cheryl tries to get help from the authorities, they simply dismiss her and classify Lauren as a runaway. On the flipside, much more media attention and law enforcement resources are given to another missing girl who happens to be white.

Garcelle Beauvais shows how a mother will go to the ends of the earth and back to fight for her child. Instead of relying on the authorities, she and her younger daughter Marley (Taylor Mosby) team up with amateur internet sleuths in search of Lauren. In pursuit of Lauren, Cheryl discovers the Black and Missing Foundation and she is blown away by the disparity in the in how cases of missing persons of color versus those involving white missing people are handled. The latter receives far more media attention and assistance from law enforcement than the former.

Black Girl Missing also stars Linda Park as local reporter Elise who goes against her news director to

In addition to Garcelle Beauvais, the team of executive producers includes Time Johnson, Stacy, Mandelberg, Gordon Gilbertson, Jason Egenberg, Richard Foster and Chet Fenster.
