Bill Bellamy and Rocsi Diaz Host Star Studded 26th Annual Super Bowl Soulful Celebration

The 26th Annual Super Bowl Soulful Celebration is heading to The Big Easy. Co-hosted by comedian/actor Bill Bellamy and actress/TV host and New Orleans native Rocsi Diaz, the celebration honors and unites diverse communities through the power of music, faith, and football. Taped live at the New Orleans’ Historic Mahalia Jackson Theater of Performing Arts, the good for the soul TV special premieres this Saturday, Feb. 8, at 8/7 pm CT on Fox.

A Celebration of Resilience, Diversity & Soul

The star studded Super Bowl Soulful Celebration spotlights the Crescent City while emphasizing resilience through the theme “Keep Going”, it brings together an ensemble of NFL players, award-winning musicians, and entertainers spanning all genres to celebrate diversity and unity. The show features stellar performances by Master P, the Isley Brothers, Jonathan McReynolds, Muny Long, Big Freedia, Tori Kelly, Trombone Shorty, Lucky Daye, Adam Blackstone and the NFL Players Choir. The choir is now an annual highlight of the event featuring current and former players delivering a moving musical performance that celebrates the power of faith and unity. Past show stopping performers include Snoop Dogg, Patti Labelle, T-Pain, and Earth, Wind, and Fire.

Honoring Excellence On and Off the Field

The Super Bowl Soulful Celebration honors athletes, social figures, and community pillars with awards for their achievements on and off the field. FOX SPORTS’ Michael Strahan is receiving the Lifetime of Inspiration Award for his outstanding impact on sports, media, and philanthropy. New Orleans Saints player Cameron Jordan is receiving The Community Award presented by Disney, recognizing him for his dedication to service and leadership. At the same time, Lexus is honoring Jared Verse of the Los Angeles Rams with the Rising Star Award.  Jayden Daniels of the Washington Commanders is receiving the Faith In Action Award while P&G is presenting Cobie Durant from the Los Angeles Rams the award for HBCU Spotlight Player of the Year.

The Vision Behind the Legacy

The Super Bowl Soulful Celebration, formerly the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration (SBGC), was founded in 1999 by marketing executive Melanie Few. As executive producer, Few continues to recruit star-studded production teams. This year’s line-up includes veteran producer Valarie Benning Thompson , director Leon Knoles, and Grammy-nominated Adam Blackstone taking on the reigns as music director.

After 26 years, the Super Bowl Soulful Celebration continues as the only multicultural program and inspirational event sanctioned by the NFL.
