Yesterday I blogged about how much I enjoyed watching TV One’s original reality TV series, R & B Divas. It seems I wasn’t the only one who appreciated a reality TV show without the all the hair pulling, drink-throwing, cat fighting drama. According to TV One’s announcement today, R & B Divas came in as the network’s most watched original premiere in the urban entertainment network’s history.
The program garnered a .93 HH rating, delivering 531,000 homes and among P25-54, earned a .76 rating, delivering 479,000 viewers. Approximately 900,000 viewers tuned into R&B Divas last night during the premiere and encore airings. It was also a trending topic among celebrities on Twitter.
Wonya Lucas, TV One President and CEO commented, “As TV One continues to invest in original programming that reflects the breadth and depth of true Black life, it is encouraging to see the strong viewer response to quality entertainment programming.”
Check out R&B Divas on TV One Monday, 10pm/9pm Eastern/Central.
