Take 6 Speaks About Life In The Music Business

Grammy and Dove Award winning acapella gospel jazz group, Take 6 has been performing professionally for over 25 years. In this up close and personal backstage interview in St. Louis, Missouri with Family Entertainment Writer, Lin. Woods, Take 6 members Mark Kibble and David Thomas speak about their life in the music business. Kibble and Thomas tell what its like being emulated by other musicians, the joy of being inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, which group member gets married this year, why they do what they do, and why they consider themselves ministers.

The Beginning

Take 6 was formed by Claud McKnight on the campus of Seventh-day Adventist school, Oakwood College (now Oakwood University) in the 1980 in Huntsville, Alabama. Since that time, they have been awarded 10 Grammy Awards, a Soul Train Music Award and 10 Dove Awards.
